The engine cooling system is relatively simple in its design. The cooling fluid has the task of lowering the engine temperature when the drive unit is heated to drive temperature. The operation of the cooling system is controlled by a thermostat, which opens a small or large cooling circuit depending on the engine's needs. When the engine is started in cold condition, the cooling water flows only in the small cooling circuit. This allows the engine to reach its operating temperature more quickly. In the large cooling circuit, the cooling water also flows through the cooling water cooler and is thus cooled. What is interesting is that the cooling water temperature is very high (about 100 degrees). Since it is a closed system, water cannot evaporate.
